David Watkins is the lead litigation attorney for the Plank Law Firm. Since 1992, he has been licensed to practice law in Ohio and has made numerous appearances in Ohio state courts, including courts of appeal. He has also litigated numerous matters before administrative agencies and in U.S. District Court. David Watkins has extensive experience negotiating and litigating real estate matters with a special emphasis on eminent domain litigation and administrative appeals. His experience also includes litigation of construction disputes, personal injury claims and truck crash / trucking company liability.
David Watkins has extensive business experience. He is licensed under the Perishable Commodities Act as a broker of fresh fruits and vegetables. He represents family farmers in their dealings with food processors. He has been an active entrepreneur in the pickle business since 1977.
David Watkins graduated from Capital University Law School in 1992. He graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Beloit College in 1977. He has pursued continuing legal education since his graduation from law school. In addition, he has taken courses in food processing, farm taxation, and creative writing at The Ohio State University and accounting for non-financial managers from the Wharton School of Business.
David Watkins is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
